By using Access Learning (accesslearningaustralia.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Access Learning. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform. We'll let you know if we make significant changes to these Terms — your continued use after that means you're on board with the updates.
Access Learning is an AI-assisted home education platform for Australian families. We provide personalised daily learning plans aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.0 (ACARA), evidence portfolio tools, curriculum documentation support, an AI companion called Kye, and a nature identification feature. We're a software tool — not a school, registered training organisation, or government body.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm you're a legal adult and, if you're adding child profiles, the parent or legal guardian of those children. Children use the Platform under their parent or guardian's account and supervision.
We offer the following plans, billed in AUD via Stripe: • Free — $0. Supports 1 child profile with limited AI features. No card required. • Essentials Plan — $5/month. Supports 1 child profile. • Premium Plan — $29/month. Supports 1 child profile. Includes compliance reports and daily podcasts. • Family Plan — $49/month. Supports up to 5 child profiles. Includes 8 compliance reports per year. All paid plans include a 7-day free trial and renew automatically each month. You can cancel any time through your account settings. If you downgrade to a plan that supports fewer children than you currently have, your existing child profiles are preserved — but you won't be able to add new ones until you're within the new plan's limit. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Access Learning does not store your card details — all payments are handled securely by Stripe.
New subscribers to a paid plan get a 7-day free trial with full Premium-level access. No charge applies during the trial, and no credit card is required to start it. At the end of the trial, you can continue on our free plan or choose a paid plan — you will only be billed if you add a payment method and keep a paid subscription.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by emailing tess@accesslearning.net. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for serious breaches of these Terms.
You agree to use Access Learning for lawful home education purposes only. Please don't: share your login with people outside your immediate family; resell or commercially exploit Platform content; use the Platform to produce false or misleading educational documentation; try to reverse-engineer or copy any part of the Platform; or upload content that's illegal, harmful, or infringes someone else's rights.
The Nature Identifier feature helps children learn about Australian flora and fauna. It's for educational purposes only. Please don't rely on it for safety-critical decisions — always exercise caution around wildlife regardless of what the identifier says. In an emergency, call 000. AI nature identifications can make mistakes, and Access Learning is not liable for actions taken based on identification results.
Learning plans, reports, Kye responses, nature identifications, and other AI outputs are for educational support only. They may contain errors or inaccuracies. AI-generated content is not professional educational, legal, medical, or psychological advice. Always review AI outputs before relying on them or submitting them to any authority.
Home education laws and registration requirements differ across Australian states and territories. It's your responsibility to understand and comply with the rules in your jurisdiction, and to verify that any documentation generated by the Platform meets your registration authority's requirements before you submit it. Access Learning isn't liable for registration rejections or non-compliance findings.
The Access Learning platform, Kye character, curriculum framework, branding, and app design are owned by Access Learning and protected by copyright. You're welcome to use generated content for your own home education — that's what it's for. User-generated content — including portfolio entries, photos, drawings, and parent notes — remains owned by your family. We never claim ownership of what you create.
Access Learning uses Stripe for payments, OpenAI for AI responses and nature identification, the Atlas of Living Australia (ALA) for species data, and Base44 for infrastructure. Your use of these services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We aim to keep the Platform running reliably, but we can't guarantee it'll always be available. We're not liable for losses caused by downtime, maintenance, or technical issues outside our control.
To the extent permitted by Australian law, Access Learning's liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you've paid in the three months before the issue arose. We're not liable for indirect losses, including loss of data or failure to meet home education registration requirements.
Our services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms limits or removes rights you have under that law.
These Terms are governed by Australian law. Disputes will first be referred to mediation in good faith. If unresolved, they'll be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in the state where Access Learning is registered.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, form the full agreement between you and Access Learning.
